Terms of Service

Our students are minors, so the person who enrolls, books, and pays is the student’s parent or legal guardian, who must be at least 18. By enrolling or booking, you confirm you are the student’s parent or legal guardian and agree to these terms for yourself and, for attendance, conduct, and photo and video matters, on behalf of your student.

Our current offerings, schedules, and prices are listed on the Programs and Tuition pages. We confirm the details and price when you book. We may change our offerings or prices for future bookings; a change never affects a booking we have already confirmed.

Lessons are currently held in a private home studio in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. We share the address only with booked families. Semester classes will meet at a location we announce before the semester begins.

Lessons are paid when you book. Semester deposits and tuition are due as described on the Refunds and cancellations page. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number. Prices are in US dollars.

Lesson cancellations, semester withdrawals, deposits, discounts, and refunds follow our Refunds and cancellations policy, which is part of these terms.

Parents and guardians are welcome to stay and watch. We are responsible for students during their scheduled lesson or class time. Before and after that time, your student is your responsibility, so please arrive on time and pick up promptly.

We expect students to treat teachers, other students, and the space with respect. If a student’s behavior puts anyone’s safety at risk or repeatedly disrupts others, we may end their enrollment after talking with you, and we will refund the unused portion of what you’ve paid.

Acting, movement, voice, and stage work are physical activities that carry some risk of minor injury, such as strains, trips, or falls. By enrolling, you confirm your student is able to take part and that you will tell us, before the first lesson or class, about any medical condition, allergy, or need we should know about. In an emergency we will contact you, and if we can’t reach you, we may call emergency services on your student’s behalf.

Where the play’s license allows it, we record end-of-term performances and share the recording with participating families for their personal use. Please don’t post recordings that show other students.

We use a student’s photo, video, or name on our website, social media, or other promotion only if their parent or guardian has given written consent, including on our enrollment form. You can withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us; we’ll stop using new material right away and remove existing posts we control.

The text, design, and photos on this site belong to Bellavigna or are used with permission. Scripts and materials we give students are for their own use in our programs.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Bellavigna’s total liability for any claim relating to our lessons, programs, or this website is limited to the amount you paid us for the lesson or program the claim relates to. This limit doesn’t apply to claims for bodily injury, to any claim your student has in their own right, or to liability that can’t be limited under New York law, including liability for our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Kings County, New York, except that either of us may bring a claim in small claims court. Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to resolve it directly.

We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version here with a new effective date. Changes don’t apply retroactively to lessons or programs you already booked.
